Jennifer Rundlett is passionate about teaching flute to children and adults of all ages and levels of experience and has been a part of Mount Saint Mary’s University and Shepherd University faculty and Millbrook Orchestra. Currently she is on the faculty of Frederick Community College where she has founded and directs the FCC flute choir. Jennifer also maintains a very large and active home studio and enjoys taking her students into the community for performance opportunities several times a year.
Jennifer received her Bachelor Degree in Music from California State University at Northridge where she studied with studio musicians of the Los Angeles area. She earned her Masters of Music from Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore in 1987. While there, she studied with Tim Day who was Principal Flute of Baltimore Symphony and later his teacher Robert Willoughby who was the principle flute of the Cincinnati and Cleveland Symphonies. Jennifer then went on to study in England with the famous flute pedagogist Trevor Wye at the Royal Northern College of Music where she received a Post Graduate Diploma in Flute Performance 1989.
